CROMARTY POND, LORDSHILL, SOUTHAMPTON

The council owned pond is located Off Cromarty Road north of Lords Hill roundabout to rounhams, Southampton. The pond has wooden platform swims and a concrete swim for disabled anglers.

Main fish species: Rudd and Tench. Toogood's, the seed merchants (who had a factory in Millbrook Road) used the meadow for grass seed trials and thus, many interesting-native species of plant grow nearby. The trees, especially the Oak and Horse Chestnut, give a very rural look to the landscape. There are many seedling trees present.
