RIVER LOWMAN/TIVERTON/DEVON/SOUTHWEST ENGLAND

The Lowman enters the Exe in Tiverton town centre.  Mid Devon District Council allows free fishing on the Lowman in Tiverton.  

For stalking smaller fish in the canalised areas of the Lowman, go light and fine; a short rod and a light line, no more than four weight.

Classic Devon sea trout flies include silvery Butchers, Invictas and Alexandras. For dry fly action, the Elk Hair Caddis will do nicely.
